The Trans-Atlantic (Taco) Surface Vertical Rod “Crash Bar” exit device comes in an aluminum finish and fits doors up to 36″ and can be field sized to accommodate smaller doors. It fits doors 7 feet high, but a 12-inch extension rod is available for purchase. These panic devices blend the utility of a vertical rod application with the appearance of a traditional “crash bar” device. They are suitable for wide stile aluminum, wood, and hollow metal doors. The contoured cross bar is ADA compliant and exceeds ANSI standards for Grade 1, making it the perfect fit for any commercial and industrial applications where heavy usage is anticipated. Includes a top/bottom latch and mounting hardware, but the exterior lever trim is sold separately.
